About This Breed
Himalayan cats are a man-made breed developed by crossing Persians with Siamese to introduce the color-point pattern into the long-haired Persian. The result is a cat with the Persian body type and the coloration of a Siamese. They have deep blue eyes and the long, thick flowing coat of the Persian. Like Persians, they are gentle and calm, but they tend to be slightly more active and playful due to their Siamese heritage.

Care Guide
Himalayan cats have a laid-back personality but a high-maintenance beauty routine. Their fur can be silky smooth or thick like wool—but either way, they need to be brushed every day to prevent knots and mats. While docile, Himalayans have a kitten-like playful side and adore interacting with their human and animal family members. They enjoy being a part of whatever you’re doing and will be the first one to greet you at the door.
